Science with Second
Second grade teachers Ms. Forrest and Ms. Debeir demonstrated safety during their science lesson by conducting the Diet Coke and Mentos experiment.
Dressed in their safety gear, they showed their students the proper precautions to protect their eyes, hands, and bodies while performing exciting experiments.
Their engaging demonstration emphasized the importance of safety in all scientific activities.

Base Ten blocks are a fantastic tool for teaching place value! They help students visually understand the concepts of units, tens, hundreds, and thousands.
By manipulating these blocks, students can see how numbers are built and how place value changes as they move from units to thousands.
This hands-on approach makes abstract concepts much more concrete.

Seventy-five Rockwall ISD high school students have earned national recognition from the College Board for their high performance on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test or Advanced Placement Exams.

Rockwall ISD visual arts teachers earn TAEA District of Distinction Award. Only the top 5.5 percent of districts in the state earned this honor.

Congratulations to Paige White, who was named principal of Amanda Rochell Elementary School. She has 25 years of experience in education, and began as a bilingual teacher at Amanda Rochell Elementary.
